The law places the responsibility of textile producers, importers, and other market participants to provide information on the environmental qualities and characteristics of textile products, as well as information on incentives and financial contributions related to these products.
This means that not only will those obligated need to provide this information, but they will need to implement systems to gather this data, and ensure that what is reported to consumers is accurate way.
This will likely necessitate supply chain mapping & due diligence, as well as the implementation of robust reporting mechanisms.

The decree was adopted on April 29, 2022. The law’s implementation is expected to undergo a voluntary labeling phase in 2024, before becoming mandatory in 2025.
